LANCOME T A T O O COMPETITION!

I'm off to Brazil in 5days time and the last time I went, I got my first tattoo.
I only ever want to get sentimental tatoo's on my body so that when I die, all the memories can go with me. However, I have been SUPER pissed off at the rising trend of Butterfly tattoos because my name actually is a specie of butterfly [the red brush-footed variety] so when I had that ink'd on me, it was purely a commemoration of myself. The music note underneath symbolises something I really love.
People nowadays have just tainted the idea of a butterfly tattoo or anything musical, as purely aesthetic. YOU F*CKERS!

Vanessa ^^

Luckily for me, I don't have to prove myself to anybody and now I want a tattoo to represent ME AS AN ARTIST. I'm making this into a competition because the first attempt at a competition didn't go down well lol.
I have a Lancome eyeshadow palette to give away to the person that can suggest me a tattoo design to represent me as an Artist.

Happy 2010, May Your blogs be F R U I T FUL!

Small pieces of my Xmas activities in its material form

I pimped out the phone and laptop with the matching cases lol. It's about time I invested in the things I use everyday.

Yes that's a MIU MIU bag with a MIU MIU bag inside. I'll be blogging that shortly...however I will be buying another bag from there so maybe I should do them both at once? [My boyfriend bought this one for me :) I love him <3]

There's a few gifts in this shot. Underwear [totally was not going to blog that!], Classic Tall Black Uggs [University attire], The Marc Jacob Daisy giftset which is WOW.

There they are in the corner of the shot.

GET THIS SET! If I'm gonna recommend you beauty bloggers something...I'd say get the 'Too Faced' beauty kit. The Lip injection is seriously good, the mascara is nice & light, the Eyeshadow Primer is yet to be tested and the glittery eyeliner is cute.
After I saw how much my mum paid for it I wasn't surprised. Too Faced are slightly over priced but I reckon its worth it..........so far.

The Non-material Form

As unflattering as a half shot maybe, Pongo [my dog] is way too big to get a full shot of him being mid air so this was as good as it got. He loves his Xmas monkey Mum bought him lol

This year's skinny tree. Mum didn't want a fat one...

My cat Lily has many a nickname but undoubtedly the most appropriate would be 'Drooly' as coined by my dear friend Antonio. Rightly so, in this photo if you look carefully he is drooling lmao.

My boyfriend yesterday, Pre-drunken New Year state. Look at those eyes! Gosh...

FOLLOW ME & MY H A I R

Finally booked that dreaded appointment to cut my hair! I'll be having the thick blunt fringe with the blunt straight length at the back ala Alexandra Burke, Nicki Minaj and The Dior Model [shown below]. I was going to colour it but honestly, I'm gonna save myself the bother and do it towards the spring when I can put a few brown low lights in it.

What I'm going to do is blog the entire 'longevity' of this haircut by showing people what to wear makeup/clothes-wise with it. I totally have to keep this haircut in good condition and go for regularly trims. I'll vlog and take photos to make this fun :)

Hopefully I WILL stick to this...

The fringe will be the ultimate forehead heater for the coming months!

Lots of Festive love, Vanessa Vida <3

Let Me Show You My Stocking...

So I'm compiling my list of what I would LIKE for Xmas and not realistically what I'd get. Blogging can get me a bit escapist so blame Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, I-D....

1) Any thing by Gisele Ganne. Definitely worth the money if you look at the delicacy of the 'Divorce Rings' which are my favourite. All her work is pretty morbid but like my old art teacher used to say: 'All of the best work goes dark at some point...'

They range from like £700 to £1000+

2) Regardless of whether I have money to spend or not this season, I will 110% invest in these babies. Completely reminiscent of Alexander Mcqueen & Alexander Wang in height, style and gorgeous-ness.

I could wear these with anything so its undoubted that I'll be sleeping in these lol.

3)  The Alexander Wang Rocco Bags come in a few colours and textures so its actually near impossible picking one you really like seeing as they all look so beautiful however, I did see this 'croc' one in a few places in London and I fell in love.

The studded bottom detailing.

Now imagine finding a piece like this during the January Sales...that is totally worth the 6am wake-up, lack of breakfast and tired feet.
